What we did

In a scarce healthcare region we deliberately put the weight on AI sourcing and used Meta for visibility and inflow. Of 132 candidates, 95 came from sourcing, 33 from Meta and 2 from jobboards. By revising creatives and audiences every month, cost per candidate fell from EUR 81.80 to EUR 30.08, a 63% drop. The funnel drew 606 visitors with a best-month conversion of 5.4%.

Assumptions

  • Applications in this case: 132
  • Your placement rate: 10%
  • Staffing - gross margin per temp worker per year: € 10,000
  • Ad spend in this case: € 1,532

Source: Staffing rates work with a conversion factor of 1.9 to 2.6 on gross hourly wage (2026). The agency's margin sits around 20-25% in technical work and 35-40% for general production work. At a gross hourly wage of EUR 16 and factor 2.1, the client pays EUR 33.60 per hour; the agency's gross margin typically comes to EUR 4 to EUR 7 per hour worked, or EUR 7,000 to EUR 12,000 per year per temp worker.

This is a model, not a realised result. Adjust the assumptions to your own margins and placement rate.
